Baikal Skullcap and extract Description: Baikal Skullcap is a species of flowering plant in the Lamiaceae family. It is a traditional Chinese medicine whose antibacterial activity is better than Coptis chinensis and no resistance.
Baicalin possesses broad-spectrum antibacterial property. The inhibitory activity of Baicalin on Staphylococcus aureus can be used for functional cosmetics for acne, and its inhibitory property on bacteria and fungi can be used in cosmetic preservative. Many biological activities of Scutellaria baicalin make it a popular functional ingredient in cosmetics for skin whitening and sunscreen, anti-inflammation, and anti-aging.
